The Cross Healing Ministries is a Christian non-governmental organization (NGO) operating in the Lamwo district of far northern Uganda near the South Sudanese border. This region was devastated by the war with Joseph Kony and the Lord’s Resistance Army, and hundreds of families were displaced and left in severe poverty. Pastor Odong George founded The Cross Healing Ministries to extend hope and care to individuals in Lamwo affected by HIV/AIDS, poverty, drug abuse, domestic violence, and divorce. Cross Healing became an Engage Hope Ministry Partner in 2013.
Key Programs:
- Christian School – To meet the needs of at-risk children in the region, The Cross Healing Ministries established The Cross Healing Primary School. There, over 200 children receive a quality Christian education, providing them a place to grow both academically and spiritually.
- Sponsor-a-Child — Through Engage Hope, U.S. donors can sponsor children at Side by Side Ministries, providing Christian education, a daily meal, minor medical care, and life skills training.
