About Us
Our Story
Engage Hope Ministries is a nonprofit Christian ministry dedicated to transforming lives and communities in areas of extreme poverty in Uganda through the power of God’s love. Based in Plano, Texas, Engage Hope was founded in 2010 after a mission trip to Uganda ignited a passion and calling from God to serve a population devastated by war and the AIDS epidemic. Over half of the adult population was wiped out, leaving millions of children orphaned and destitute. Working with local pastors, Engage Hope organized short-term mission trips focused on HIV/AIDS awareness, evangelism, and discipleship training.
We partner with Christian churches, schools, orphanages, and other outreach ministries in Uganda to help meet impoverished children and families’ physical and spiritual needs. We believe that meeting the physical needs of those God calls us to serve opens the door to ministering to them spiritually. This is how lives are changed for eternity and why Engage Hope exists. We currently work with ten ministry partners in Uganda to reach thousands of people each year through short-term mission trips, church planting and discipleship, slum ministry outreach, and providing Christian education, vocational training, and emergency relief in times of crisis.
Our Mission
The Engage Hope mission is to glorify God by sharing the Gospel and making disciples of Jesus Christ through partnerships with Christian ministries in the countries we serve and through short-term mission trips that demonstrate the love of Christ through evangelistic, medical, and educational outreaches.
