Nabukeera Sarah

Sarah lives with her mother and three siblings. Her father is a builder by trade, but he has consistently failed to contribute to the family's needs. When her mother reported him to the police, he left the home entirely, cut off contact with the family, and took a second wife in the neighborhood. The family has since carried this burden alone.

Sarah's mother now supports the household by washing clothes for others, but her income is too small to reliably cover school fees for her children. As a result, Sarah has been in and out of school and is frequently sent home due to an outstanding fees balance.
