Majorine lost her father at a very young age and grew up without his presence or provision. Her mother worked hard to support her through primary school, but since Majorine transitioned to secondary school, the financial strain has become more difficult to manage. Her mother pays fees in installments when she is able, and there are times she is unable to pay at all, resulting in Majorine frequently missing school.
