Talent's father, a former military officer, converted to Christianity and left his first wife to formally wed his second. In retaliation, his first wife took actions that resulted in him losing his job, his property, and his professional standing. With his name blacklisted within his field, he has been unable to secure employment in his profession and has struggled to find work elsewhere.
As a result, Talent's mother has become the family's sole provider. Despite her efforts, she is unable to cover both their household needs and Talent's school fees.
