Casa Hogar Alegre is an orphanage in Tuxtla Gutierrez to help abandoned and abused children. In 1993, Elizabeth Castelazo and her children Angel and Merari founded Casa Hogar Alegre.  This orphanage is known to be one of the very best in this region of Mexico.  Currently more than 100 children receive a christian education, shelter and work skills training.  Education is important to Casa Hogar Alegre and the children as it gives them hope and skills for the future.  The children participate in games, sports, music and workshops.  Casa Hogar Alegre is a safe haven for the children and provides boys and girls quarters.  Since many of the children are abandoned Casa Hogar Alegre is family.  The children are loved and cared for by their team.  This is home for these children and they consider each other one large family that comes together to support each other.  Please keep Elizabeth, Merari and their staff in your prayers.  They are changing lives in their community and making a difference for generations to come!

The ministry of Casa Hogar Alegre is funded by Engage Hope's generous supporters and donors.  If you would like to prayerfully consider donating toward this ministry to help educate, feed and clothe the children of the orphanage, please go to our Donate page and select Casa Hogar Alegre.
