Pastor Isiko Charles officially became an Engage Hope ministry partner in 2018, though he has been a trusted friend and leader alongside the ministry since its earliest days. For many years, he faithfully coordinated transportation and logistics for Engage Hope mission teams serving throughout Uganda.
Pastor Charles serves as president of New Life Missionary Churches and pastors Makandwa New Life Missionary Church in Jinja, Uganda. He carries a strong calling to evangelism and discipleship. Under his leadership, 22 churches have been planted, with ongoing efforts to train and equip emerging leaders for future church plants. His ministry emphasizes biblical literacy, door-to-door evangelism, and intentional discipleship for new believers.
In 2018, Pastor Charles founded New Life Christian School to provide quality, Christ-centered education to orphaned and vulnerable children in the community. The school reflects his broader vision of combining spiritual formation with practical opportunity for families in need.
Engage Hope has partnered with Pastor Charles to strengthen both church and community impact. Together, we have helped expand access to clean water, support church infrastructure, provide Bibles for new congregations, strengthen school facilities, and invest in long-term sustainability initiatives, including farmland that helps provide food for students.
Through short-term mission teams, seasonal relief efforts, and targeted community outreach, Engage Hope continues to walk alongside Pastor Charles as he equips leaders, plants churches, and builds stronger foundations for families across the region.
