Located on the shores of lake Victoria in eastern Africa, Uganda is a country of 36 million people.  Over half of the population is under the age of 16.  Although it is a beautiful country it is one of the poorest countries in the world.  There are hundreds of thousands of orphaned and impoverished children with no 'hope' for a future due to a lack of education and resources.

Engage Hope Ministries was birthed out of a passion and calling from God to serve the people of this country and transform lives and communities for Christ.  Initially, the work was focused in Rakai, a region that was devastated by the AIDS epidemic.  Working with local pastors, Engage Hope organized short-term mission teams focused on HIV/AIDS awareness, evangelism and discipleship training.   Since those early days, God has blessed the ministry and expanded our work so that today we are reaching thousands of people for Christ through Christian education, church planting, discipleship/leadership training, medical outreach, feeding programs and other humanitarian efforts.

No matter what physical need we may be serving, every initiative has a single purpose - To fulfill the Great Commission and make disciples for Christ.
