Shifrah’s mother struggles with mental health issues and her father left their family, followed shortly after by her two older siblings. Shifrah was left to care for her younger brothers on her own, but has since been taken in by a local church member. Shifrah hopes to go to school to became a nurse in order to treat her mother one day.
