Malaka comes from a humble background. Neither of her parents holds formal qualifications, and the family relies on small-scale farming and poultry keeping to get by. She has been sponsored since kindergarten, and that support has been instrumental — not only in funding her own education, but in enabling her parents to meet the family's broader needs and keep her siblings in school as well. Since her sponsor withdrew, the family has been left uncertain about how to cover her fees going forward. We make a heartfelt appeal for a new sponsor to step in and continue the investment in Malaka that has already made such a meaningful difference in her family's stability.
